The features of the Essential Ability Cover Plan

Unum's Essential Ability Cover Plan includes:

• A regular monthly benefit based on the ability to perform certain daily activities, rather than ability to follow a specific occupation.
• Ability to apply for cover whether employed, self-employed or receiving no income at all.
• Ability to choose the level of cover - up to a maximum £25,000 a year - based on how much benefit is required.
• A clear Abilities Test to verify claims consisting of a physical or mental health assessment. Benefit is paid if either test is satisfied.
