The features of Dual Benefit
Unum's Dual Benefit includes:
- Ability to choose which employees are covered. Employers can include all staff or specific categories, such as those of a certain grade
- Opportunity to protect business costs associated with an employees long term absence e.g. Pension and National Insurance contributions, group life premiums as well as an employee's salary
- A choice over how long income benefit is paid, from a limited 2, 3, 4 or 5 year period up to a maximum Terminal Age of 70
- Choice of incapacity definitions including Generic and Combination Cover
- Serious illness benefit of 2 x salary
- Unique short deferred periods of 4 and 8 weeks in addition to the standard 13 or 26 week periods.
- Option of Pay Direct if an employee leaves service.
