UnumProvident, the UK’s leading disability insurer, is to shorten its trading name to Unum and introduce a new corporate identity from 11 April 2007.
The move follows the decision of its US parent, UnumProvident Corporation, to change its corporate entity to Unum Group – with the three main business units being Unum US, Unum UK and Colonial in the US.
As a result, Unum Ltd in the UK will be adopting the trading name Unum and implementing a new corporate identity, which has been provided by its US parent company. The roll out of the new corporate identity in the UK will be complete by the end of the year.
