Dorking based UnumProvident, the UK’s leading disability insurer, has sponsored the leasing of twelve paintings from Art Matters for the benefit of patients and staff at the new Medwyn Surgery in the towns’ Reigate Road.

Art Matters - part of Surrey and Borders NHS Trust - is a community arts project which aims to promote positive images of mental health in the community and is based in Horley in Surrey.
Dr. Stewart Tomlinson, a partner of the Medwyn Surgery said:
As an NHS provider with limited funds, we are delighted that UnumProvident has offered to pay for the artwork to be displayed in the surgery. I know from seeing the art, which is already hanging on our walls, that both our staff and patients are going to appreciate it.
UnumProvident also leases Art Matters paintings for its offices in Dorking, Basingstoke and Bristol.
Inderpal Sokhy, Community Affairs Co-ordinator for UnumProvident, said:
We are thrilled to be able to extend our support to Art Matters as we believe in its aim of promoting positive images of mental health in the community. I can say from experience that the paintings are well-liked and appreciated by our staff and I’m sure they will brighten up the Medwyn Surgery too.
