BRITISH INSURANCE AWARDS – Unum was named ‘Underwriter of the Year’ in 2008 in recognition of our market-leading approach to medical underwriting.

Finalists in 2007 in ‘Marketing Initiative of the Year’ category, recognising Unum’s 2006 campaign to raise awareness among advisers and employers of the impact of the upcoming anti-age discrimination legislation.
'Best Rehabilitation Provider' in 2005. Awarded for innovative application of rehabilitation techniques, proactive intervention strategies and significant achievements in terms of return to work.
REHABILITATION FIRST AWARDS – Unum Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant Baljinder Rai was named ‘Young Achiever of the Year’ in 2008 for her outstanding commitment to rehabilitation and her significant achievements in helping people get back to work following accident and illness.

Unum won 'Rehabilitation Provider of the Year' in 2007. Judges commended the size and scope of Unum's rehabilitation offering, in particular the key account management available to larger clients.
In 2006, two Unum Vocational Rehabilitation Consultants received 'Highly Commended' Awards in the categories Case Manager of the Year and Young Achiever of the Year. They were awarded for their outstanding achievements in supporting individuals back into the workplace.
